Las Vegas Raiders Off-Season Including Geno Smith Traded To Las Vegas Raiders

In a move that has changed the QB market ahead of the free agency start, the Seattle Seahawks decided to move on from the quarterback who has had them in winning position the last few years. It was noted by Seahawks personnel that the plan was to have Smith return with an extension, but things broke down during financial talks.

It was reported that the Seahawks contacted the Raiders trying to acquire defensive end Maxx Crosby prior to his 3 year extension announced on 3/5/2025.

The Raiders have consistently turned down trade offers for Maxx Crosby over the past few years.

An interesting turn of events resulted in Geno Smith heading to Las Vegas in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2025 draft, which the Raiders had acquired from the New York Jets in the Davante Adams trade.

The 2025 off season has already been making some news with big name releases, trades, and other organizational news. The Las Vegas Raiders have acquired Geno Smith, and Alex Cappa from the Bengals as a free agent so far. With the official start to free agency, it will be interesting who the Raiders bring on board, and who they are choosing to retain.
